Applied on the skin directly to create temporary, reversible lipid bilateral aqueous channels (will stay open for approx. 20 min) to increase permeability of the cell membrane allowing hydrophilic molecules which cannot be absorbed before to be penetrated and introduced into the skin. Penetration depth: dermis layer 0.8 – 1.1 mm.
